Architectural Drafter

Welcome!
My name is Nicole May; I have a degree in Computer Aided Drafting And Design with a focus in Architecture from Tidewater Community College. As well as a degree in History from Old Dominion University. I have wanted to be in the architecture field since I was eleven years old, and I have been pursuing this career ever since. My experience includes working as a project manager for 6 years at Robyn Thomas Architecture in Norfolk Virginia. My roll included seeing projects through from start to finish, but I mostly jumped into projects at any stage and help get them to the finish. I had the sole responsibility at the firm for preforming field work/ measuring the existing conditions of buildings and drawing the field work. I have a lot of experience with Historic Renovations and creating drawings for historic tax credits in Virginia. My other responsibilities include; schematic design, meeting with clients, code compliance research, and producing construction documents including: floor plans, schedules, details, sections, site plans, roof plans, foundation plans, and elevations.
